Welcome to Bridge Coach. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bridge Coach mobile and web applications, including our AI-driven coaching analysis, Learning Library, interactive Practice Room, and Bridgewebs synchronization features (collectively, the "Service").

Welcome to Bridge Coach. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bridge Coach mobile and web applications, including our AI-driven coaching analysis, Learning Library, interactive Practice Room, and Bridgewebs synchronization features (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Bridge Coach, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (such as a bridge club), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Bridge Coach provides tools to help bridge players analyze their games and improve their skills. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • Data Synchronization: On-demand and automated importing of session results from third-party platforms (e.g., Bridgewebs).

  • Coaching Analysis: AI-generated post-game analysis, theme identification, and personalized feedback.

  • Learning Library: A repository of bridge tips, articles, and educational content.

  • Practice Room: Interactive, curated, and dynamically generated practice boards to train specific bridge scenarios.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Third-Party Integrations and Bridgewebs Sync

Bridge Coach allows you to synchronize your club results using third-party services, primarily Bridgewebs.

  • Data Accuracy: We do not control Bridgewebs or any other third-party platform. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or completeness of the data published by your club or imported into Bridge Coach.

  • Account Authorization: By providing your club links or Bridgewebs codes, you authorize Bridge Coach to retrieve and process your publicly available or club-authorized session data for the purpose of generating your personal coaching analysis.

  • No Affiliation: Bridge Coach is an independent service and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bridgewebs.

4. User Accounts and Security

To access certain features, you must register for a Bridge Coach account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

  • Notify us immediately if you discover or suspect any security breaches related to the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

All original content provided through the Service is the exclusive property of Bridge Coach.

  • Bridge Coach Content: This includes our custom JSON article payloads, the Learning Library taxonomy, interactive Practice Room board constructions, AI coaching prompts, branding, and software code. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without express written permission.

  • User Data: You retain ownership of any personal data you provide. By using the Service, you grant Bridge Coach a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and process your synced board data to deliver your coaching analysis and improve our machine learning models.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Bridge Coach application or its AI coaching engine.

  • Scrape, automatically extract, or bulk-download content from the Learning Library or Practice Room.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or illegal content.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Bridge Coach may offer premium features, such as advanced analytics or unlimited Practice Room access, for a subscription fee.

  • Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually).

  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods.

  • Founder Members: Special terms, lifetime access, or discounted rates granted to "Founder" members will be honored as described at the time of purchase, provided the account remains in good standing.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Bridge Coach expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

  • AI Limitations: Bridge Coach uses artificial intelligence to analyze bridge hands and generate advice. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make errors or misinterpret complex double-dummy scenarios. The coaching provided is for educational and entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee that using the app will result in higher scores, increased masterpoints, or tournament victories.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bridge Coach and its founders, affiliates, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the Service; (b) unauthorized access to your account; or (c) any AI-generated coaching advice.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in England, and the parties hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service (such as the launch of the Practice Room) or applicable laws. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms within the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
